The Friends of Laurel Hill

The Friends of Laurel Hill State Park Complex, a chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, is a non-profit volunteer organization composed of members who share a love for the parks and are motivated to share their time and talent.

The primary mission of the Friends of Laurel Hill is to contribute to the park, help maintain the trails, and help with special projects to raise money for improving the park's recreation, environmental education, and interpretation programs. The group also helps serve the public by assisting with the implementation of Pennsylvania State Park programs and facilities.

Some of our past projects include a toddler playground and volleyball court near the camping cottages and a CCC monument honoring those who built the park. All proceeds from our fundraisers and the Laurel Hill Outpost gift shop stay in the Laurel Hill Complex to help make these and other projects a reality.

News Pennsylvania State Parks: The Best in the Nation Pennsylvania’s state parks competed with the best systems in the country and were awarded the top honor as the 2009 National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival August 21 and 22, 2010 Thanks to everyone who made the 2009 Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival a huge sucess! The concession stand will be open serving popcorn, snacks, ice cream and drinks.
