Volunteers lending a hand . . .

The Friends of Laurel Hill State Park wear many hats.
Helping visitors and campers in the park is one of them.

Friday and Saturday nights when the campground is open, you will find volunteers selling firewood and ice near the campground contact station.

New in 2010, the Friends of Laurel Hill will offer a shuffleboard court in the campground.  It is located next to the volleyball court and playground.

When you buy your firewood and ice at the park, you help the park:  proceeds from sales benefit volunteer projects, such as playground equipment.

The volunteers also maintain the laundry facilities at both Laurel Hill and Kooser parks.  Washers and dryers are found in the washhouses near sites 132 and 44 at Laurel Hill, and in the campground and the cabin colony at Kooser.
Every Saturday is Family Movie Night at Laurel Hill.  But what fun is a movie without popcorn?  The volunteers have you covered at the concession stand with popcorn, snacks, ice cream, and soft drinks.

For the kids, visit the playgrounds in the campgrounds at both Laurel Hill and Kooser and the swings near the Laurel Hill Lake.  Be sure to check out the new toddler playground near the cottages at Laurel Hill.
